Hip Hop music consists of rhythmic lyrics making use of techniques like assonance, alliteration, and rhyme. It consists of two main components: rapping (MCing) and DJing (production and scratching).

Drum & Bass is a type of electronic dance music also known as jungle, characterised by fast tempo broken beat drums with heavy, often intricate basslines.

Techno features an abundance of percussive, synthetic sounds, studio effects used as principal instrumentation.
